What You'll Do

As a CT Technologist, you'll play a critical role in helping physicians diagnose and treat patients by providing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing CT imaging procedures according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Verifying patient identity and obtaining relevant clinical history prior to procedures
  • Preparing and administering contrast media under the direction of a radiologist
  • Operating CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting procedures within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Practicing radiation safety measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff
  • Assisting with quality control procedures, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance
  • Responding appropriately to emergency situations, including contrast reactions
  • Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Participating in continuing education and maintaining professional certifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology

  • ARRT Certification in Radiography (R)

  • ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT)

  • Current Wyoming Radiologic Technologist and/or CT Technologist licensure, as required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

  • One to two years of diagnostic imaging experience, including CT procedures

  • Previous hospital or acute care experience
