It is the goal of this position to provide an exceptional patient and family experience as it relates to the cancer care they receive. The responsibilities of this position begin with the initial triage of candidates for the IPHC procedure, arranging of diagnostic testing, evaluation of the medical record of candidate, pre-certification/authorization with insurance carriers, schedule appointments/surgery, assist with lodging, maintain constant communication with patient & other care delivery areas to ensure continuity of care. This position also has a clinical research component. Study data is collected & reported on the patient’s quality of life. The IPHC Coordinator will follow-up with the patient, family and physicians regarding post-op issues.
