The Highway Operations Foreman is a safety-sensitive position subject to DOT drug & alcohol procedures, must be available to report to work during regular business hours and must be available after hours to respond to emergencies and/or highway conditions. Reporting to the Patrol Superintendent or supervisor, assumes responsibility, or directs and supervises employees performing Highway Department tasks or projects, and does related paperwork.
Winter Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Summer Mon-Thurs 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work schedule fluctuates with the change of seasons and workloads. Flexibility is required based on workloads. Must be available to report to work after hours to respond to emergencies and/or highway conditions. Availability is the ability to respond to a phone call within 15 minutes and report to duty within 45 minutes.Job Type: Full-time
