• Job Title: Highway Maintenance Worker
• Location: Broomfield, CO

Schedule

• Position hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM
• Off days: Sunday and Monday
• Note: Days and times may vary depending on season and project needs
• Some extended hours, weekends, holidays, or adjusted shifts may be required during peak seasons or weather events

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
• Must pass background check and drug screening

Primary Responsibilities

• Trash pickup and debris removal (frequent walking required)
• Assist motorists and roadway patrons with assorted issues
• Tow truck support and roadway assistance
• Landscaping duties (string trimming, mowing, weed control)
• Delineation and sign maintenance
• Routine roadway inspections
• Daily flag placements
• Snow shoveling and winter maintenance duties
• Other duties as assigned

• Effective communication with agencies, coworkers, and the public
• Strong problem-solving skills to assess and respond to incidents quickly
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable

Work Style

• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and priorities
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and balancing
• Work performed outdoors in all Colorado weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain)
• Regular exposure to traffic, heavy equipment, and emergency situations
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided
