Spring Musical - Acting/Technical Assistant

Reports to the Superintendent, Principal, and/or Supervisor of Fine & Performing Arts. In conjunction with the Spring Musical Director, responsibilities include all acting/technical aspects of the production, but are not limited to:

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the Director, support the rehearsal objectives

• Principles and techniques of acting

• Enunciation, diction, dialect, expression, improvisation, projection

• Acting style, character development, personality

• Singing/vocal production

• Scheduling acting-specific rehearsals

• Blocking and staging

• Participate in audition and casting process

• Stagecraft, stage makeup, costume craft

• Lighting & sound design

Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain a positive work environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to produce high-quality theatrical experiences
• Strong organization skills
• Passion for student-centered arts education
• Committed to continuous program growth and to creating meaningful performance opportunities
• Appropriate New Jersey Certification or New Jersey Substitute Certification required
