Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and refine district approved curriculum to meet the evolving educational needs of students.
  • Systematically gather, analyze, and use data to measure student progress, guide instruction, and provide timely feedback.
  • Uses technology effectively to enhance student learning and to manage the classroom.
  • Maintain a safe student-centered learning environment that is engaging and respectful.
  • Manage classroom with clear, consistent expectations for student behavior with an aim to create a calm, safe, orderly learning community.
  • Develop and implement IEPs consistent with compliance requirements.
  • Complete additional special educational actions and attend meetings as applicable as part of students educational team.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of a CAEP approved training program or eligible for SC certification through the State Department of Educations approved alternative certification routes.
  • Valid SC certification (or is eligible to obtain a SC certification) in the subject area(s) employed to teach.
  • Ability to implement appropriate communication modality and/or to acquire requisite skills.
