The district is one of the oldest districts in the county having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. Job Summary
Banta Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable High School Life Science Teacher to deliver engaging standards-based instruction aligned with the California Next Generation Science Standards NGSS. The ideal candidate inspires curiosity about the living world while helping students develop strong scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities include:
• Designing and implementing lessons in biology, ecology, genetics, evolution, and human body systems • Conducting safe and meaningful laboratory investigations • Differentiating instruction to support diverse learners • Assessing student progress • Collaborating with colleagues to strengthen the science program
A valid California Single Subject Science Credential is required.
