Job Description:

  • The HEOR Consultant III (Research Health Economist) will contribute to health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) initiatives by supporting evidence synthesis, outcomes research, and analytical projects under the direction of project leads.
  • Support the generation of value evidence throughout the product lifecycle to meet global payer and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements.
  • Assist in designing and executing outcomes research to support product launches, commercialization strategies, and payer-focused evidence generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to health economics projects through evidence synthesis, outcomes research, and related analytical activities.
  • Support the development of research protocols and execute outcomes research studies.
  • Conduct primary, secondary, and exploratory analyses based on approved protocols.
  • Perform healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) analyses and HCRU cost modeling using Difference-in-Differences (DiD) and Generalized Linear Models (GLM).
  • Conduct dosage interval analyses and time-to-event analyses, including Kaplan-Meier methodologies.
  • Develop and support decision analytic models, including Markov and simulation models.
  • Perform systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses to support protocol development and evidence generation.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, presentations, conference abstracts, manuscripts, and other scientific deliverables.
  • Communicate project progress, findings, and potential issues to project stakeholders.
  • Present research findings internally and at scientific or industry conferences as assigned.

Experience:

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, Health Economics, Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy, Statistics, Biostatistics, Decision Sciences, Health Services Research, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, contract research, or a related environment; OR
  • Master's degree in one of the above disciplines with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, contract research, or a related environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare resource utilization (HCRU) analysis, cost modeling, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), GLM methods, dosage interval analyses, time-to-event analyses, and decision analytic modeling.
  • Experience working with open claims, closed claims, and electronic medical record (EMR) datasets.
  • Experience conducting targeted literature searches to identify evidence and data inputs.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development, research study design, and interpretation of clinical and real-world evidence.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, regulatory expectations, and product lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with international healthcare systems and evolving Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
