Join a team that tackles some of the toughest technical challenges in the heavy truck industry. As a Technical Support Engineer embedded with Volvo Trucks in Greensboro, NC, you’ll be the go-to expert for resolving product issues affecting Class 8 powertrain, chassis, and electronic systems—directly supporting dealers, service teams, and field stakeholders across North America.
What You’ll Do:
Diagnose complex product issues using advanced data acquisition and analysis tools
Provide expert support to dealers and markets for Volvo and Mack trucks
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement containment actions
Deliver technical solutions aligned with NA workshop repair practices
Travel as needed to support market-critical customer concerns
Collaborate across engineering, quality, and service support functions
What You Bring:
8+ years of relevant experience in technical support or heavy vehicle systems
Expertise in powertrain, chassis, and vehicle electronics
Deep knowledge of Volvo and Mack diagnostic platforms and service tools
Strong foundation in mechanical/electrical systems engineering
Proficiency in CANalyzer, Tech Tool, JPRO, and similar diagnostic tools
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Ability to communicate clearly with field teams and translate data into action
