Castle Rock Ford is currently seeking a Heavy-Duty Diesel Automotive Technician to join our Service department. This role is ideal for someone with advanced mechanical experience and a deep understanding of diesel engines and heavy truck systems. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles, including F-Series Super Duty trucks and fleet/commercial units. This position is a great opportunity for a technician looking to take on challenging work in a well-equipped, high-volume shop.

Diesel Automotive Technician Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues, fuel systems, emissions systems, and electrical systems
Perform repairs and maintenance on Ford F-250 through F-750 trucks and similar heavy-duty platforms
Inspect and maintain drivetrains, cooling systems, brakes, suspensions, and transmissions
Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify technical problems accurately
Communicate with service advisors regarding diagnostic findings and repair recommendations
Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with OEM specifications and safety standards
Complete required documentation on repair orders and maintain service logs
Keep a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and environmental protocols
Maintain and renew relevant certifications and participate in continued training
Diesel Automotive Technician Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working with diesel engines or heavy-duty vehicles
Ford diesel experience highly preferred (Power Stroke engines, F-Series trucks, etc.)
OEM certifications and/or ASE Diesel Certification a strong plus
Ability to use diagnostic software (Ford IDS/FDRS or similar)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics, emissions, and DEF systems
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL is a plus, but not required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to lift 75+ lbs and work in physically demanding shop conditions
Strong communication and documentation skills
