We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our client's operations in New Berlin. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel or propane-powered systems, along with a strong commitment to preventative maintenance and safety standards. -Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems.
-Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, brake adjustments, battery service, and safety checks to ensure equipment reliability.
-Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
-Accurately document all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, service reports, and equipment condition updates.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment technician, with strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
-Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair propane, diesel, and/or electric forklifts in a timely and accurate manner.
-Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
-Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow maintenance procedures, service manuals, and company repair standards.
