Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is looking for a Parts Warehouse Person to join our team for following hours:

Tuesday-Friday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM & Saturday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Classification Skills and Qualifications:

The P.M. Technician maintains the fleet operation by completing inspections in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines. Correcting minor vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments, alignments and replacements at the direction of Management. "See Required Activity/Skill List"

Job Duties:
  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections; oil changes; chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Inspections to be performed both in shop and remotely to customer needs.
  • Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades as directed, controlling corrosion and proper lubrication on each PM cycle.
  • Corrects light repairs and vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling components, parts, or systems. Areas to include lighting, expendable equipment, air and electrical lines.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
  • Performs tire repairs, replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off from vehicles as needed.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
  • Keeps shop Service Trucks and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Contains costs by using warranty, evaluating service and parts options.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
  • Performs all duties of lesser classification, and other work-related duties as directed.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent required
  • Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred
  • 2 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field preferred
  • Must have valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain a CDL within 120 days of hire
  • Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas
  • Company will provide a Basic Set of Hand Tools upon hire to use in this position
  • Basic Technical Understanding
  • Ability to follow all written and oral instructions, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Job Knowledge
  • Ability to implement and work in a strong safety environment at all times
  • Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical
Compensation:
  • $23-$25/hourly depending on experience and qualifications
