Rasmussen Trucking & Service Center is currently looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic.
Job Responsibilities:

- Perform necessary tasks to keep company vehicles and equipment in proper working order and condition.
- Maintain and repair semis, trailers, and any other Company-owned vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose engine repairs needed.
- Installation of drum and disc brakes.
- Welding and torching.
- Knowledge of truck and trailer wiring.
- Perform routine inspections of Company-owned vehicles and equipment in accordance with Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, State Regulations, and Company Compliance.
- Completes required DOT inspection and/or maintenance records.
- Responsible for proper housekeeping in garage and yard.
- Responsible for adhering to applicable safety and environmental regulations with regard to the operation of fleet maintenance.
- Support and comply with all components of the company’s safety program.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have your own toolbox and basic tools.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs or more. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.)
- Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high.
- Must be able to work in all types of environment including, heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
- Must have safety shoes or boots with a minimum of safety toe and slip resistance.
