Our client is a well-established heavy civil contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex transportation infrastructure projects throughout Northern California. Due to continued growth and a robust backlog of work, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major highway, bridge, and transportation projects.This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with long‑term stability, a collaborative culture, and a diverse portfolio of public works projects across the region.About the RoleAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. You'll work closely with owners, subcontractors, engineers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple heavy civil construction projects from award through closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.Lead contract administration, change management, and risk mitigation.Coordinate with owners, public agencies, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor packages.Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.Monitor project performance, productivity, and financial outcomes.Support field Superintendents to ensure safe and efficient project execution.Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.Ensure compliance with contract requirements, environmental regulations, and safety standards.Preferred Experience5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction.Proven experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects.Background managing one or more of the following:HighwaysBridgesRoadway reconstructionInterchangesEarthworkDrainage systemsPublic works infrastructureExperience working with Caltrans, local municipalities, counties, or other public agencies is highly desirable.Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, estimating, cost management, and contract administration.Experience managing subcontractors, field operations, and client relationships.Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, HCSS, or similar construction software is preferred.What We're Looking ForWe're interested in speaking with Project Managers who have worked for leading heavy civil contractors and have experience delivering complex public infrastructure projects.Ideal backgrounds include:Highway and freeway improvementsBridge construction and rehabilitationTransportation infrastructurePublic worksEarthwork and gradingUtility relocationsDrainage improvementsWhat's on OfferAnnual performance bonus401(k) with company matchVehicle allowance or company vehiclePaid time off and holidaysLong‑term career progression with a growing heavy civil contractorOpportunity to work on some of Northern California's most significant transportation infrastructure projectsIf you're an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager looking to take the next step in your career and lead high‑profile highway, bridge, and transportation projects across Northern California, we'd love to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
