    Heavy Civil Project Engineer — Boise, Idaho — $85,000 - $115,000 Base SalaryA well-established heavy civil general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and public works projects throughout the Boise area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to build their career with a company known for delivering high-profile heavy civil projects involving earthwork, underground utilities, transportation, site development, and public infrastructure improvements.In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.What You\'ll Be DoingAssist Project Managers with day-to-day project administration and coordinationManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationSupport project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost trackingCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnelReview plans, specifications, and contract documents for constructabilityAssist with quantity tracking, production reporting, and progress billingMaintain project records and ensure document control processes are followedParticipate in project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholdersSupport safety, quality control, and environmental compliance initiativesHelp drive projects from preconstruction through closeoutExperience Needed1-5+ years of experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, site development, or public works constructionExperience supporting projects involving earthwork, utilities, concrete, roadways, bridges, or transportation infrastructureExposure to project administration, RFIs, submittals, and change managementExperience working alongside field operations, subcontractors, and project management teamsInternship, co-op, or full-time construction experience will be consideredFamiliarity with public works or DOT projects is a plusQualifications RequiredBachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related fieldStrong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contract documentsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExperience with Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project is preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environmentValid driver\'s license and ability to travel to project sites as neededBenefits IncludedCompetitive base salary of $85,000 - $115,000Annual performance-based bonus opportunitiesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysVehicle allowance or mileage reimbursementCompany-paid life and disability insuranceProfessional development and career advancement opportunitiesTuition reimbursement and industry training programsLong-term growth path into Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager rolesIf you're looking to join a growing heavy civil contractor with a strong project backlog and excellent advancement opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
