Need 17 Full time, Temporary, Seasonal, Heavy and Tractor Trailer Truck Drivers/Ag Equipment Operators to work in East Grand Forks, MN. From: 09/08/2025 10/10/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Due to the complexity of the weather and harvesting conditions, workers may be requested to work long days, as well as Saturdays, Sundays, or Federal Holidays, depending on the field planting conditions, potato harvesting conditions, and potato crop maturity. Therefore, hours above 40 hours per week may be offered, but are not guaranteed and may be worked voluntarily. Must apply by: 09/25/2025 OVERTIME: As required in Minnesota, all work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) a year. JOB DUTIES: Follow supervisor instructions always and arrive to work on time. Conduct thorough and accurate pre-trip inspections on farm trucks. Safe and correct operation of trucks. Perform duties in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques. Safe and correct hook-up of trailers. Drive along the side of harvesting equipment in the field to get loaded. Return to the farm with loaded potatoes. Weigh the potatoes on a scale at the farm. Safely and correctly load/unload trailer with potatoes. Ensure potatoes are correctly distributed in the trailer to comply with regulations. Follow delivery instructions to and from the field being harvested to the farm shed. Maintain and care for truck equipment, including basic maintenance. Communicate with office personnel, field supervisors, other personnel in a courteous, professional manner. Participate in safety trainings, orientations and all other company meetings as required. Report all injuries to supervisor immediately regardless of how slight they might seem. When not operating the farm trucks, employees will be required to participate in the basic maintenance and cleaning of the trucks. If driving duties are not available, workers will perform these duties on the farm or in the fields: Use hand tools, including but not limited to: shovels, hoes, potato forks and knives. Unloading and grading potatoes. Operating a forklift. Perform general farm duties as necessary. All tools will be provided at no cost. Drivers are not required to have a Class A CDL due to the agricultural exemption according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act 395.1((k)(1). Employees must comply with standards set forth through the Global Good Agriculture Practices (GlobalGAP) & Fair Food Program. Workers will be trained on this program. Employees will be required to use an electronic time keeping system. Employees will be provided training and access to this system. Workers will be required and paid for attending safety related trainings and meeting. Black Gold Farms agrees to participation in the Know Your Rights and Resources (KYRR) component of the FLSP program. The employer will contact the designated USDA partner to schedule a KYRR training session no later than two weeks from workers start date. The employer agrees to allow access to all hired workers, without accompaniment of supervisors or management staff, for a minimum of 2 hour in-person training session, on-site in a conducive training environment, and pay workers for training time. The employer will host Collaborative Working Groups for employees to participate in. Domestic and H-2A employees will be invited to attend. Employees attending the meetings will be paid for their time. The meetings will recur on at least a monthly basis, lasting around a half hour. Meeting minutes will be taken and shared with other employees. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housi g for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
