Our operation will support a 24/7 environment with significant workforce growth during peak seasons, creating exciting opportunities for innovation, leadership, and career advancement.We are looking for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, values employee engagement, and believes safety excellence is the foundation of operational success.If you are energized by the opportunity to influence culture, develop programs, and create meaningful impact from Day 1 — this role is for you.What You'll Do As the Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all health, safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives across the operation.You will partner closely with Operations, HR, Quality, Engineering, and senior leadership teams to ensure a proactive, highly engaged, and safety-first culture throughout the facility.Key Responsibilities Lead all site health and safety programs for a large 24/7 warehouse operationDevelop and implement safety policies, procedures, training programs, and compliance initiativesDrive a strong safety culture through leadership engagement and employee involvementConduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsLead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planningEnsure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, environmental, and company safety standardsAnalyze safety metrics and trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvementPartner with Operations leadership to reduce workplace risks and improve safe work practicesOversee safety orientation and ongoing employee training programsManage workers' compensation, injury prevention, and return-to-work processes in partnership with HRSupport emergency preparedness planning and response activitiesParticipate in launch readiness activities, operational start-up planning, and workforce ramp-up effortsSupport multiple shifts, including evenings, weekends, and peak operational periods as neededWhat We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field preferred5+ years of Health & Safety leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operationsStrong knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulationsExperience leading safety programs in large, fast-paced operationsProven ability to influence leadership teams and drive cultural changeExperience conducting investigations, audits, and corrective action planningStrong communication, coaching, and presentation skillsAbility to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 operational environmentPreferred Qualifications Experience supporting start-up or newly launched facilitiesProfessional certifications such as CSP, ASP, OHST, or CHST preferredExperience with workers' compensation and injury management programsExperience with safety management systems and compliance reporting toolsAbout the Role How you will contributeCoordinate and control the order cycle and associated information systems.Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.Assign approved service provider for transportation based on the approved carrier matrix, mode, service level, and cost efficiency to meet the customer's expectations.Ensure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained.Proactively works with operations to identify shipments at risk of not meeting secure dates based on mode, service level, miles, equipment type.Other duties as assigned.Your Key QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.Experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.Knowledge of principles and procedures used in material planning and logistics operations and practices.Knowledge of various means of transport / transit times.Why Join DP World?
