Job Summary

We are currently hiring Security Officers to support a Health Care Center in Fort Myers, FL. Join a professional, customer-focused team dedicated to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment while providing excellent customer service. This role requires professionalism, situational awareness, and the ability to interact compassionately with patients, visitors, and medical staff.

Pay Rate: $19.00/HR

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Provide general security services in accordance with client requirements and post instructions
  • Monitor access points and conduct routine patrols
  • Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity
  • De-escalate situations professionally and calmly when needed
  • Interact respectfully with patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely
  • Comply with all DSI policies, client requirements, and safety procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid security license as required by state or local regulations
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation and means of communication
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions
  • Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings

Required Health & Vaccination Compliance

Candidates must provide proof of required vaccinations prior to the first day of duty, or be willing to receive them, including:

  • Influenza (flu shot)
  • PPD / Tuberculosis test (within the last two years)
  • TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • VZV (Chickenpox)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)

Available Shifts

  • Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available (based on site needs)
