The Healthcare Data Analyst will join a collaborative team at Joslin Diabetes Center supporting clinical operations, grounded in patient safety and improvement science to participate in projects that promote a culture of excellence.
The Healthcare Data Analyst will be responsible for acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of sensitive data to support quality and performance measurement and track improvement efforts. They must be able to work independently and collaboratively to locate and validate data, identify data requirements, and communicate data specifications to team members and leaders. They must be able to develop reporting/analytic solutions, but also be able to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for actions.
The Healthcare Data Analyst will leverage software applications to design solutions and perform detailed data mapping and analysis. They will not only manage data and design new processes, but will be accountable for the timely and accurate production of routine monitoring reports and special projects. This requires experience working with databases, establishing data connections and running queries, aggregating and synthesizing data for business plans, trends, and projections, along with creativity, curiosity, and initiative to evolve the tools and reporting systems to meet the priorities of a dynamic healthcare environment. They will need an understanding of healthcare financial and operational processes, data management, as well as manipulation and interpretation of large databases.
This role is expected to have onsite training for the first few months then transition to a hybrid schedule.

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
