We are seeking a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to support patients, providers, and internal care teams with high-quality customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional healthcare customer service via phone, email, and electronic systems
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
- Answer questions related to appointments, insurance verification, billing, authorizations, and medical records
- Accurately document interactions in EHR/EMR systems
- Resolve patient concerns while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient care coordination
- Navigate payer portals and assist with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance inquiries
- Deliver empathetic, professional support in a high-volume healthcare customer support setting
Required Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare customer service, medical office administration, or patient services
- Strong knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, and healthcare workflows
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and healthcare databases
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer engagement skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare call center or clinical support environment
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
