Healthcare Business Consultant
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Remote plus 25% travel (Expenses Covered)
 
This role will be supporting a Healthcare provider transformation effort focused on clinical and charge capture workflows. This role is looking for a strong healthcare consulting resource that will help drive the clinical and charging workflow of specific specialties, identifying process and tech opportunities to resolve charge leakage points and deliver training content to support this.

ROLE SUMMARY
Seeking strategy consulting contractors to support on of two healthcare engagements.
Engagement #1: Support clinical design teams within a large charge capture program. Resources will support and lead specialty specific sprints with clinical staff to identify Epic configuration opportunities, supporting improved charge capture accuracy and comprehensiveness across high-volume clinical departments.
Engagement #2: Support risk adjustment program transformation standing up several technological and functional capabilities to drive comprehensive diagnosis capture and improve risk adjustment performance for an integrated care delivery network.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive consulting project work based on the associated engagement including activities like conducting stakeholder interviews, business process documentation, storyboarding, deliverable development, coordination with business, IT, and executive stakeholders, presentation development, conduct analytics in MS Excel, PowerBI, Tableau
• Support development of executive and clinician facing materials in support of the ongoing project work
• Document current and future-state workflows, configuration decisions, and standard operating procedures
• Support application build, workflow design, testing, and go-live activities for Epic applications / Charge Capture
• Conduct workflow analysis to translate clinical operational needs into Epic system requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in consulting or healthcare revenue cycle
• Familiarity business process documentation, healthcare analytics, presentation development, stakeholder interview facilitation
• Ability to engage directly with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of Healthcare data elements related to charge capture and / or risk adjustment
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Epic configuration, Epic familiarity
• Familiarity with charge capture optimization, Health care risk adjustment, or revenue integrity initiatives
