Duties

Assists nursing personnel in maintaining accurate resident records according to State and Federal regulations. Maintains confidentiality of resident information. Acts as a representative of the nursing home by establishing good public relations. Responsible for monitoring resident behavior and scheduling resident appointments with other health services. Adheres to facility policy and procedures. You will have an impotant part managing the schedule for the clinical team. Employee must be pleasant, respectful and courteous to residents, families, visitors and fellow employees at all times.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintains accurate resident medical records according to Federal and State regulations and North Ridge Care Center policy, prepares medical record for physicians' visits, physicals, and transfers within facility, transcribes physician's orders per procedure, updates and prints computerized records and monitors for accuracy, reviews medical records periodically for proper signatures, Maintains resident schedule for ancillary services, monitors appointment schedules for ancillary services and physician visits, arranges transportation in advance for residents, responsible for coordinating hearing aid program, schedules all lab work and maintains a routine lab work schedule, and maintains current DNR list. You will have an impotant part managing the schedule clinical team as advised from building leadership.

JOB SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Graduate of approved vocational technical Health Unit Coordinator course, dependable, responsible person that can organize and execute many delegated tasks, some knowledge of nursing practices and medical terminology, able to read and write with good spelling and the capability of expressing self easily, patience and tact in dealing with residents, family and visitors.

WORK SCHEDULE

These full-time healthcare positions work 8-hour shifts: 8:00am - 4:30pm every other holiday and routating MOD
