Fairview is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Technician at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 56 hours per two weeks on the Day shift, 8 hour shifts, and every other weekend rotation.

About this Position:
Observes cardiac monitors, detecting and reporting abnormalities that may occur in the patients EKG status.
Responsibilities
- Observes the cardiac monitors and analyzes, records, and documents the rhythm status for each monitored patient.
- Communicates information regarding rhythm status, problems, concerns, etc to the RN, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate.
- Participates in meeting unit goals and objectives.
- Performs clerical duties as delegated by the Clinical Director or Charge Nurse.
- Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
- Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year experience of Transcription/Unit Coordinator experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year EKG/Monitor Tech experience
Qualifications:
$25.25- $31.18 Hourly
