What You’ll Do
As a Health Unit Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day unit operations by supporting nursing staff and facilitating seamless communication between patients, providers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process, transcribe, and distribute physician orders
- Maintain and update patient records, including admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Serve as a communication hub between providers, nurses, patients, and external contacts
- Support daily administrative operations including answering phones, faxing, filing, and coordinating documentation
- Help ensure timely, organized workflows that support quality patient care
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and compliance standards

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or clinical environment preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred
