Position Summary

School Nurse Manager is responsible for the implementation of a pilot project to enhance the school nursing services across Genesee County. The School Nurse Manager will provide supervision, mentorship, professional development, and orientation to new school nurses. The School Nurse Manager will facilitate a countywide community of practice for school nurses that leads to improved health services and education for the children and families in Genesee County.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field is required. State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required; current CPR preferred. Master's degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

Three years' experience working with children in a school, pediatric health setting, or as a volunteer. Leadership experience in a nursing environment. Strong knowledge of computer technology, word processing, and database software required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $64,372 - $89,854 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Work Schedule: 215 days / 7.5 hours daily
