Primary Job Role
Leads all occupational health programs (e.g., workers' compensation, exposure control, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, biomedical waste, drug/alcohol-free workplace, first aid, pandemic planning) and oversees injury/illness case management with third-party partners to reduce incident frequency, severity, and cost.
Develops and applies occupational health and safety policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, collaborating with the Safety Department to create or improve procedures that eliminate or control workplace hazards.
Evaluates workplace risks and ensures compliance by conducting hazard analyses, job/process reviews, and safety inspections, while also training employees, supervisors, and leaders on occupational health and safety practices.
Conduct site visits and workplace inspections—including behavioral and physical audits—to identify hazards, document findings, and drive corrective actions, using tools like near‑miss reporting and trend analysis.
Support regulatory and compliance requirements by maintaining accurate records, administering safety management system tools, and coordinating training refreshers, inspections, industrial hygiene sampling, and medical surveillance activities.
Manage safety‑related documentation and communication by coordinating claims and return‑to‑work processes with HR, keeping SDS and permits updated, and monitoring regulatory changes to inform leadership.

Qualifications:Education and Experience
Formal Education Associate Degree or certification equivalent in a related field of study.
Experience 7 or more years
