Schedule: Monday – Friday, Occasional Weekend
Develops and implements annual community engagement plan, including all community outreach programs supporting
Community Benefit Reporting and Community Health Needs Assessment activities, community seminars, health screenings and
events, physician seminars (Doc Talks), community expos, external sponsorships and employee engagement activities and events.
Assists with management and coordination of marketing and advertising activities for UF Health Central Florida, as it relates to
community relations activities. Positively represents UF Health Central Florida throughout the community.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and implements health communication campaigns to promote employee and community wellness.
- Conducts needs assessments to identify health priorities and tailor wellness initiatives accordingly.
- Designs educational materials and digital content focused on physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
- Collaborates with clinical teams, healthcare providers, and community organizations to support health promotion efforts.
- Monitors health trends and evaluates program effectiveness to ensure alignment with hospital goals and public health standards.
- Coordinates internal and external communications to increase awareness and participation in wellness programs.
- Supports event planning and outreach activities to engage employees and community members in health initiatives.
- Analyzes data and feedback to continuously improve health promotion strategies and messaging.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Education, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in health promotion, wellness program development, or health communications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, for content creation, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, or public health environment preferred.
- Strong skills in developing and delivering health education materials, communications, and wellness campaigns.
- Knowledge of public health principles, health behavior change strategies, and health promotion best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hospital, health system, academic medical center, or public health organization.
- Bachelor's degree in public health, Health Education, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience collaborating with marketing, communications, clinical, and community stakeholders.
- Knowledge of population health, employee wellness strategies, and community health engagement initiatives.
