    Description

    As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Health Professions & Instruction Librarian to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by developing and delivering information literacy instruction, providing in-depth research assistance, and collaborating with campus partners to enhance information services.

    The applicant will excel at cultivating and sustaining relationships with faculty, students, researchers, staff and Marian affiliated partners in support of teaching, learning, information literacy and research.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.

    Primary liaison with College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Nursing, Exercise Science and PT/OT program

    Design and present creative and practical instructional sessions and library outreach. Instruction would be expected to occur in-person and online, in settings such as classes, workshops, webinars, and one-on-one and small group meetings.

    Collaborate with library team to design and deliver instructional materials related to AI and emerging technologies

    Provide expert advice and support for students, faculty, and staff in using citation management tools, evidence synthesis tools, and supporting evidence-based practice

    Demonstrate professional development and service through presentations, publications, and/or active membership in professional organizations

    Develop and sustain accessible online learning resources (research guides, tutorials, and LMS modules) grounded in best practices for pedagogy, universal design, and instructional design
