We are seeking a Health Policy Implementation Consultant to lead policy analysis, implementation planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational improvement activities for large-scale federal health programs.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who enjoys translating complex policy into actionable solutions, evaluating impacts to stakeholders and business operations, and driving improvements that enhance program effectiveness. The successful candidate will independently manage workstreams, provide recommendations to clients and project leadership, and contribute innovative ideas that improve program performance and stakeholder outcomes.
This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in federal health program implementation while building expertise in policy, operations, stakeholder engagement, and consulting leadership.

Location
This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Regular in-office attendance and occasional in-person client meetings are required. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the DC metro area prior to their start date. Relocation assistance is not available.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead analysis of federal healthcare policies, regulations, guidance, and operational requirements to determine impacts on stakeholders, business processes, and program operations.
- Develop strategic recommendations to support implementation of policy and operational changes.
- Evaluate complex operational, policy, system, and business process changes and identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Independently manage project workstreams and drive deliverables from initiation through completion.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and project leadership.
- Lead stakeholder discussions, requirements-gathering efforts, operational assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop reports, presentations, implementation plans, issue papers, executive briefings, and other client deliverables.
- Drive innovative approaches to policy implementation and operational improvement by identifying emerging risks, opportunities, and best practices that enhance program effectiveness.
- Mentor junior team members and provide quality review of project deliverables.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to project leadership by anticipating challenges and recommending solutions.

- Have 3-4 years of professional experience in healthcare policy, public health, consulting, operations, business analysis, research, program implementation, or related fields.
- Are self-starters who proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive work forward.
- Enjoy analyzing complex policies, data, systems, and operational processes to develop actionable recommendations.
- Can assess impacts to stakeholders, business processes, systems, and program outcomes.

Other Important Information
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in public health, public policy, health administration, economics, business, political science, or a related field.
- Applicants should have the ability to obtain a US government security clearance, if needed. Applicants must have lived in the U.S. at least three (3) of the last five (5) years to obtain the required clearance.
