Position Overview:

Responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Sutter Health products across commercial and individual lines of business. Serves as an entry point into product management and focuses on building foundational capabilities in product lifecycle execution, market analysis, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination.
With the guidance of senior product team members, plays a critical role in enabling product readiness for market by supporting regulatory filings, benefit configuration, competitive analysis, and operational execution within a highly regulated state environment.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Foundational understanding of health plan structures (e.g., HMO, PPO, EPO) and benefit design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of state regulatory environment and/or federal programs (e.g., Affordable Care Act, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets and documentation accurately.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and organize data from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data management) and PowerPoint (reporting).
  • Experience or familiarity with product configuration systems, SharePoint, or document management tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly across teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated setting.

Pay Range is $41.45 to $62.18 / hour. Bay Area Pay Range is $47.67 to $71.51 / hour.

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
