Job Summary
Health Instructional Assistant for Paso Robles School District PCN# 260156 Under the clinical supervision of the Health Specialist/RN, provide specialized health care and assist the nurse in monitoring the mental and physical health conditions of students. Assist the classroom teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of medically fragile and severely handicapped special education students, ages 3 - 22; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP's); provide routine clerical support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent. AA degree (or equivalent) or Paraeducator Certificate Possess and maintain a valid and appropriate California Driver s License Emergency Medical Technician license (EMT), Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred The paraeducator exam is given every Thursday at 1 pm at the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Office. Please call Dolly at 805-769-1036 to reserve. EXPERIENCE: At least one year experience providing patient care in a health-care profession, AND one year experience working with special education students.
