Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Technician with strong administrative skills and experience working in a medical office environment. This position supports a team of healthcare professionals by maintaining accurate health records, managing documentation, and ensuring medical information is properly organized and accessible.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative experience in a medical office setting required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred; training available
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Preferred Qualifications
- The Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) credential is preferred but not required
- Experience working with medical records, document management, or health information systems
Minimum Requirements
- At least 9 months of experience in records management, administrative support, or related office work
- Experience or training in medical terminology
- Experience with typing, data entry, and document management
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
