The Health Information Coordinator ensures the accuracy, organization and confidentiality of resident health records within the Skilled Nursing Center. This role supports regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care by maintaining complete and timely health information systems in accordance with federal, state and local requirements. What You'll Do: • Maintain and organize resident health records and Master Resident Index • Prepare admission, transfer and discharge documentation • Audit in-house charts for accuracy, completeness and regulatory compliance • File, retrieve and protect confidential health information • Generate required reports and maintain electronic health record data • Support clinical team members with documentation needs • Assist with Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement activities • Track and report key clinical indicators and support services usage • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OBRA and long-term care regulations • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families and team members What We're Looking For: • High School Diploma or GED required • Experience in long-term care or health information systems preferred • Knowledge of medical terminology and long-term care regulations • Strong organizational and time management skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems • Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion • Compassion and desire to serve the geriatric population Health Information Coordinator - Maintain Accurate Resident Health Records Health Information Coordinator | Medical Records | Health Information Management
Pay Range:
26.75 - 33.50
