The Student Health and Counseling Center is recruiting for a team leader for Peer Health Educators providing bystander intervention training for sexual assault/domestic violence prevention and health/wellness education programs across campus. This position is for up to 29 hours per week.

This position will work as a team leader for Peer Health Educators providing Bystander intervention training for sexual assault/domestic violence prevention and various health/wellness education across campus. To thrive in this role, a successful applicant will have knowledge and experience in public health programming and presenting health education information to peers.

Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills; including experience with public speaking to all kinds of audiences will be very important. Various other skills will be valuable such as effective organization, dependability, ability to lead, and being independent and able to work with a team. Other skills that set a candidate apart would be understanding of public health frameworks, experience in social media maintenance and Canva, communication and prior experience as a Peer Health Educator/ mentoring.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of two or more years as a college student, with progress on a Bachelor's degree.

Position Details:

  • This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary staff position.
  • New hires will be placed on the UA Temp Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
  • This is a pooled position and applications are reviewed as needed.
