ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In the role, you will get to:

  • Work with an inspiring team
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of community health needs
  • Work with the Anderson County Health Council and other health coalitions to develop resources and strategies to meet assessed health needs
  • Utilize knowledge and training to implement evidenced based health education and programs in creative ways to reach target populations in the community
  • Assist with the design and delivery of relevant in-service training programs for health department employees. Teachers, and other professionals
  • Provide community health related activities offsite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Graduation from and accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in public health, health education, biology, or related field and
  • Experience equivalent to one year of full-time health education work
  • One year of additional qualifying graduate course work in public health, health education, biology, or related field may substitute for the required one year of experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
