What You’ll Do

In this position, you will determine health care eligibility for our benefit recipients and process related enrollments, changes, and terminations of all member and retiree health plans offered by OPERS. In addition, you will serve in an issue resolution capacity andmanage and update recipient and member accounts by communicating with our recipients through letters, emails, and phone calls. You will also partnerwith our healthcare vendors from a strategic planning perspective to resolve retiree escalations and help ensure that our retirees are getting the level of service that they deserve! What You’ll Bring

• A High School Diploma or GED is required, with aBachelor’s degree being preferred
• At least three years of professional work experience,preferably in a customer service/support role
• Strong knowledge of Health Care and Benefits programs from OPERS or comparable organizations.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Affordable Care Act, and health insurance concepts (e.g. deductible, copays, coinsurance, underwriting) strongly preferred
• The ability to take initiative and be self-directed in your work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be able and willing to think outside the box
