Health And Safety Manager

A large-scale distribution and logistics organization is looking to add a Health & Safety Manager to its on-site leadership team in the Aurora, Illinois area. This person will be tasked with owning site-level health, safety, and facilities operations within a high-volume fulfillment environment. The role offers full accountability for building a strong safety culture while ensuring the facility, equipment, and infrastructure operate reliably and compliantly. It's a highly visible, hands‑on opportunity with real influence on people, performance, and continuous improvement.The RoleOwn and lead the site's health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal standardsDrive a "safety-first" culture through audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, training, and safety committee leadershipManage all aspects of facilities operations, including building maintenance, utilities, fire systems, and critical equipmentOversee contractors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring safe work practices and strong service deliveryPlan and manage preventative maintenance, minor projects, and annual safety and facilities budgetsThe Candidate3+ years of experience in health & safety and/or facilities management within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distributionStrong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical workplace safety implementationProven experience managing large facilities (approximately 150,000+ sq. ft.) and multiple vendors or contractorsHands‑on, solutions‑driven leader who is comfortable on the floor and engaging with all levels of the organizationStrong communication skills, with the ability to influence site teams and present to senior leadership#J-18808-Ljbffr
