Duties:
Work to develop students, enhancing both educational and athletic skills. Inspire students to pursue both academics and athletic endeavors to better themselves. Develop and carry out the district plan for the activity; provide appropriate leadership. Have knowledge of and comply with all applicable school and WIAA rules and regulations. Monitor students' compliance with school and league eligibility rules. Enforce discipline and good sporting behavior at all times, and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students. Properly train students for a safe and successful athletic experience. Maintain the safety of program participants. Establish and maintain successful lines of communication and relationships with middle and/or high school age athletes, coaching staff, school administration, parents and the community. Display appropriate behavior and speech at all times. Work within the established budget. Work cooperatively with staff members and communicate regularly with the Building Administrator. Head coach will provide input on evaluation of assistant coaching staff performance. Maintain communication with other coaches/staff regarding facility usage and our programs. Demonstrate excellence as both an educator and as a coach in leading an athletic program.
Additional Responsibilities:
A copy of the employee's current First Aid and C.P.R. certifications and any other required identification or documents are to be on file with the District prior to assignment commencement.
Scope of Duties (Optional):
Upon mutual agreement of the District and the employee, and with approval of the School Board, the scope of duties shall include a school sponsored summer camp program in compliance with WIAA regulations (WIAA Summer Activities).
