Summary

The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology & Gastroenterology at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Board-certified/eligible Surgical Oncology faculty member to join our practice at the Associate or Senior Member level. Specifically, we are seeking a Surgical Oncology-trained individual with an interest in leading and expanding a robust practice focused on Pancreatic cancer and premalignant lesions. The candidate must have training/expertise in Complex Robotic Pancreas Surgery.

The position includes a leadership role as Head of the Pancreas Section, working with an existing team of well-established HPB-Pancreas surgical oncologists, within multidisciplinary teams, and supporting an existing and mature Research program in Pancreatic malignancies. This position will have clinic at our Magnolia campus, with opportunity to develop and establish Pancreas practices in Moffitt satellite sites, and with surgical cases centered at our Moffitt McKinley Hospital.

Within Moffitt Cancer Center, The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology & Gastroenterology is uniquely situated within a multidisciplinary, collaborative GI program that provides high quality care to patients in one of six primary disease sites: Colorectal, Gastroesophageal, Liver, Pancreas, Peritoneal and Neuroendocrine.

The Department includes 19 faculty members in GI Surgical Oncology, General/Acute Care Surgery and GI-Endoscopy, and 18 APPs.

Requirements

MD/DO or equivalent Florida license eligible Board certified/eligible in General Surgery Completed Fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology, with specific expertise in Pancreas and Robotic Surgery. ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff DEA License
