Our client is a renowned luxury jewelry brand known for its spiritually inspired fine jewelry, exceptional craftsmanship, and elevated customer experience. They are seeking a highly organized, execution-driven, and strategic Head of Production to lead and optimize our production operations across development, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and fulfillment.
Role Overview
The Head of Production will oversee the full lifecycle of jewelry production while managing timelines, workflows, vendors, inventory coordination, quality standards, and cross-functional communication. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced luxury environment. This individual will work closely with design, operations, wholesale, retail, customer experience, and external manufacturing partners to ensure all production initiatives are executed efficiently, accurately, and on brand.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee all daily production operations across development, manufacturing, repairs, quality control, and fulfillment.
• Manage production timelines, vendor communication, and workflow prioritization to ensure on-time delivery of collections, custom orders, and wholesale initiatives.
• Build, optimize, and enforce production SOPs, tracking systems, and operational processes.
• Oversee inventory coordination, material sourcing, and component management to maintain production efficiency and minimize delays.
• Partner closely with design and merchandising teams on product launches, collection development, and production feasibility.
• Own production reporting, status updates, and interdepartmental communication across retail, wholesale, operations, and customer service teams.
• Maintain and elevate quality control standards across all outgoing products and repairs.
• Manage relationships with jewelers, stone vendors, casting houses, setters, polishers, and external production partners.
• Monitor department capacity and staffing needs while improving operational efficiency and accountability.
• Drive execution-focused leadership culture with strong attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to improve scalability, margin optimization, and long-term production infrastructure.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of production, operations, or manufacturing leadership experience within luxury jewelry, fashion, or premium consumer goods.
• Strong understanding of fine jewelry manufacturing processes, sourcing, logistics, and quality control.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to lead teams while remaining highly execution-oriented and solutions-driven.
• Experience implementing operational systems, workflow optimization, and production tracking processes.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Shopify, inventory systems, spreadsheets, and operational software tools preferred
