 Role Overview

A global industrial organization is seeking a Regional IT Manager to lead technology operations, infrastructure, and end-user support across a multi-site environment. This role is responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and reliable IT capabilities that support both office-based and operational teams.

The Regional IT Manager will partner with enterprise technology stakeholders to align systems, standards, and initiatives while ensuring strong service delivery, operational continuity, and business support across geographically distributed locations. This position will oversee regional IT personnel and collaborate closely with business leaders to drive operational excellence, modernization, and long-term technology improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day regional IT operations across a diverse user population, including office-based, remote, field, and operational personnel.
  • Develop and execute regional technology initiatives aligned with enterprise priorities and business needs.
  • Ensure consistent and effective delivery of IT services, maintaining strong performance, responsiveness, and end-user experience.
  • Oversee end-user support functions, ensuring timely issue resolution and high-quality service delivery.
  • Direct planning, deployment, and ongoing optimization of regional infrastructure and technology environments across multiple locations.
  • Maintain availability, security, and performance of systems including networking, end-user technologies, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.
  • Support operational environments by enabling technology solutions that contribute to efficiency, continuity, and production support.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed IT team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage regional IT spending, including budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and enterprise technology teams to implement scalable, business-aligned solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, compliance, governance, and risk management practices.
  • Support business continuity planning, incident management, disaster recovery, and technology resiliency efforts.
  • Maintain oversight of technology assets, licensing, and lifecycle management.
  • Act as a key technology partner to business leadership, identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead regional technology projects and modernization efforts, ensuring successful execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify dependencies across systems and processes to improve stability, integration, and efficiency.
  • Champion automation, digital improvements, and technology innovation across business operations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Significant progressive IT experience, including leadership of regional or multi-location operations.
  • Experience supporting both corporate/business users and operational or industrial environments.
  • Strong technical foundation across infrastructure and enterprise technologies, including:
    • Network and systems administration
    • End-user computing environments
    • Virtualization technologies
    • Enterprise business applications
    • Infrastructure operations and support
  • Experience leading technology implementations, integrations, and complex IT initiatives.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with IT service management methodologies and structured support models.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and technology investments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
  • Demonstrated success operating in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
Work Environment & Travel
  • This role supports a combination of office and operational environments across multiple locations.
  • Travel is required to support regional teams, operational sites, and business initiatives.
  • Occasional after-hours support may be necessary for critical technology issues or project deployments.
  • Must be comfortable working in environments that require adherence to site-specific safety protocols.
