Head of Brand Storytelling & Creative Operations

Overview
A rapidly growing consumer brand is seeking an experienced creative leader to oversee brand expression, content development, and creative execution across all customer-facing channels. This role is responsible for shaping how the brand is experienced visually and emotionally while ensuring creative initiatives support broader business objectives.

Working closely with executive leadership, this individual will establish creative priorities, guide production strategy, and develop scalable systems that support growth. Success in this position requires a combination of strategic thinking, exceptional creative judgment, operational discipline, and strong leadership capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities

Brand Expression & Creative Leadership
  • Lead the development of seasonal campaigns, product launch initiatives, and integrated marketing concepts.
  • Ensure creative consistency across digital, retail, wholesale, and marketing channels.
  • Define and continuously refine the visual and storytelling framework that guides all customer communications.
  • Translate business objectives into compelling creative solutions that drive customer engagement and brand affinity.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on creative opportunities, trends, and brand positioning.
Content Production & Asset Development
  • Direct the planning and execution of photography, video, editorial, and multimedia content.
  • Establish efficient workflows for creative development from concept through final delivery.
  • Manage production schedules, budgets, approvals, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee external creative partners, agencies, freelancers, and production vendors.
  • Develop scalable content systems that support multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
Team Development & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing creative talent.
  • Foster collaboration across marketing, merchandising, eCommerce, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Implement processes that improve communication, accountability, and project execution.
  • Build a culture of creativity, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Performance & Optimization
  • Measure the effectiveness of creative initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with marketing and analytics teams to leverage customer insights and campaign performance data.
  • Introduce testing methodologies that strengthen creative decision-making and improve results over time.
  • Balance creative innovation with business priorities and performance goals.

Professional Experience
  • 8+ years leading creative teams within consumer-focused organizations.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing multi-channel content and brand initiatives.
  • Experience managing complex creative productions from planning through execution.
  • Proven track record of building creative processes that scale alongside business growth.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
