This position directs the development, organization and management of all phases of the men's and women's golf programs. Recruiting, retaining, and graduating qualified student-athletes, as well as applying effective coaching, mentoring techniques, and player development strategies that result in successful competition are the primary purpose of this position.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree required / Master's Degree preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student athletes.
Direct and coordinate the activities of the men's and women's golf program in the planning, organizing and coaching of the team; ensure compliance with the university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.
Direct the men's and women's golf staff and team in the preparation of analyses of opposing teams; analyze statistics and technical data of opponents, and prepare strategy accordingly.
Counsel team members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters; consult with athletic administration for resolution of problems when necessary.
Lead the strategic recruitment of new student-athletes; determine recipients of golf athletic scholarships in accordance with university admissions policies, the men's and women's golf scholarship budget, and in compliance with NCAA rules.
Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.
Direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, merit recommendations, and promotions.
Study, evaluate, and implement training innovations in men's and women's golf strategy, use of equipment and facilities.
Develop and execute a fundraising strategy in coordination with athletic advancement to increase revenues to enhance the student-athlete experience.
