Under general supervision directs, provides leadership, manages and oversee all coaching and strategic aspects of the University's NCAA Division 1 sports program in such a manner as to build and maintain a competitive, quality program that reflects positively on the image and reputation of the University at all times.
- Directs and coordinates all aspects of the recruitment process in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations.
- Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training and competition.
- Responsible for the hiring and direct supervision of the coach staff.
- Oversees all operational aspects of the specific sports program. Including travel, meals, athletic gear, etc.
- Oversees all aspects of the financial operation of the specific sports program
- Represents sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
- Complies with all NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Athletics policies.
