Job Summary

Directs and plans goals for a competitive NCAA Division I Men's Tennis program in accordance with University, conference, and NCAA rules and procedures; recruits and develops student-athletes, as well as committing to student-athlete personal and academic welfare; committing to gender and ethnic diversity; participates in support of development of marketing and fund-raising activities, public and media relations activities; oversees practices, competition, assistant coaches, and budget (including scholarships, travel, equipment, etc.)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs coaching and recruiting duties.
• Fields a competitive team.
• Complies with NCAA and conference rules and regulations, and department plans.
• Demonstrates effectiveness of public relations, media relations, and people skills.
• Demonstrates effectiveness in monitoring student-athlete academic progress, retention, and graduation.
• Sets and accomplishes program goals.
• Effectively maintains budget, organizational skills and student-athlete involvement.
• Maintains effective working relationship with department support staff and other university personnel.
• Demonstrates effectiveness in maintaining discipline and control of student-athletes and program.
• Effectiveness in management of scholarships.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
