JOB TITLE: Head Coach Gameday and Assistant Spirit Coach REPORTS TO: Athletic Director /Head Cheer Coach DEPARTMENT: Athletics START DATE: Immediately CLASSIFICATION: Full Time Staff SALARY: TBD General Function: Andrew College is actively recruiting a full -time head coach to oversee t he intercollegiate Gameday . The successful candidate will have prior recruiting experience as well as experience with athletic fundraising, alumni relations and community engagement in addition to previous budgetary management experience. Candidates should have familiarity and working knowledge of competitive dance and cheer competition rules and commitment to a strong compliance culture alon g with adhering to Andrew College guidelines, regulations and policies. The selected individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a commitment to the ac ademic and life skills development of student -athletes. The Head Game day Coach must understand the dynamics of a small college setting and have the ability to take on several tasks outside the coaching arena towards success for the Athletic Department and Andrew Colleg e as a whole. The Gameday Head Coach, will help with al l duties of Cheer on the competition side and game day relations side. Duties and Responsibilities: - Fulfill the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the Andrew College department of athletics as it pertains to the Gameday/Cheer programs. - Recruiting, bud geting, scheduling, promoting, training, and conditioning, skill instruction, student -athlete and staff development, academic support, compliance, and game plan preparation and strategy - Fundraising, alumni relations, community engagement, and additional ad ministrative duties - Maintain high academic standards for student -athletes - Interact with other Andrew College departments - Develop healthy department and player relationships - Strong disciplined skills and consistency with communication and structure required - Good driving record with ability to drive Andrew College vans and recruiting vehicles - Perform other duties as assigned by the institution Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred. However, consideration will be given to those candidates with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. Previous head or assistant collegiate level coaching experience preferre d. Must be authorized for unrestricted employment in the United States indefinitely with no immigr ation sponsorship needed. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job you may be required t o lift and/or move heavy items. You will also be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
