    Head Coach Cheerleading: Varsity Position: Head Coach Cheerleading: Varsity Reports to: Athletic Director Salary: As per FEA Teacher Contract Position Type: August 24, 2026 - November 26, 2026 Location: Franklin High School Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition. Assists as directed with the oversight of athletic training, strength, and conditioning workouts; provides technical support and training to athletes, as appropriate to the sport. Assists as specifically directed, in the recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules. Assists in monitoring and supporting student-athletes in academic progress. Assists as appropriate in planning and arranging team travel Serves as role model for good sportsmanship Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and competition rules. Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in the area of sporting specialty. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with student- Athletes, families and administrators Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of strengthening and conditioning methods and techniques. Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree; previous experience preferred Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Employees in this job title are subject to the terms and conditions of an employment contract. Employment contracts are typically subject to review and renewal on an annual basis. Compliance with all MIAA rules and regulations is required in this position Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
