Position Summary In alignment with the mission of Chestnut Hill College to provide a holistic educational experience, the Head Cheer Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and development of the cheerleading program. Incollaboration with the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach plans, organizes, directs, and supervises all aspects of the program.
The Head Coach works closely with Athletics staff and other campus partners to support the philosophy and goals of the intercollegiate athletics program and reports directly to the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
Demonstrated integrity and character consistent with the mission of Chestnut Hill College
Strong knowledge of cheerleading, including training, conditioning, and skill development
Ability to assess athlete performance and implement corrective strategies
Effective communication skills with student-athletes, parents, and colleagues
Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Understanding of and commitment to the College's Mission and Core Values, including a shared dedication to inclusive, mission-driven education that supports the development of the whole person.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the cheerleading program
Supervise and assign responsibilities to assistant coach(es)
Ensure compliance with all College, Department, CACC, and NCAA policies, including completion of required NCAA coaching modules
Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director on purchasing equipment, supplies, and uniforms
Assist with scheduling competitions and related events
Recruit prospective student-athletes in coordination with the Admissions and Athletics Departments
Support the academic success of student-athletes, prioritizing progress toward degree completion and respecting academic schedules
Promote sportsmanship, professionalism, and respect among student-athletes, staff, and the broader community
Maintain appropriate conduct and discipline of student-athletes at all times (practices, competitions, travel, and events)
Communicate team policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to all team members
Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment
Attend all required meetings and events as directed by the Athletic Director
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
