Clean Harbors in Narrows, VA is seeking a InSite Operations Manager II to join their safety conscious team. The InSite Operations Manager leads their team in supporting the execution of a clients’ environmental management program at a client location. The InSite Operations Manager II will have industry experience combined with a strong management and administrative skill set.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Manage and coordinate the efforts and Health and Safety oversite of the Clean Harbors onsite employees for customer's air, water, and/or hazardous waste programs.
- Manage and track facility wide waste generation, storage, and disposal by providing waste tracking reports.
- Responsible for proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Schedule transportation and disposal for outgoing wastes as needed.
- Maintain adequate levels of equipment for routine service needs and ongoing projects.
- Scope special projects and provide estimates.
- Assist customers with compiling data necessary for completing the Generator's Annual Report and other required reporting functions.
- Conduct facility wide compliance audits to include inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
- Provide weekly status reports to facility management.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s license.
- State-Certified Landfill Operator – Virginia.
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Degree in environmental studies preferred).
- Supervisory or management experience in chemical operations preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations.
- OSHA Training and experience.
- Perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to interface with customers.
