Hardware Retail Associate

Retail ACE Hardware Job Description:

Qualified retail associates will ensure our customers are made to feel welcomed. Wallauer is looking for candidates that have strong communication and customer service skills.  A positive attitude and the willingness to learn is essential to every staff member, and the growth of the company.

Essential Functions of the ACE Hardware Associate position:

• Greet customers entering and leaving the store and proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Possess a friendly, outgoing demeanor, and work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Builds rapport with customers and works to ensure they receive excellent service.
• Handles instance of customer dissatisfaction and specific customer complaints reasonably, promptly, and effectively and recommend adjustments to management
• Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store.
• Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
• Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Maintain a neat, clean updated front counter
• Self-Starter, quick learner, and team player with strong communication skills

ACE Hardware Associate Job Requirement:

• Some Hardware knowledge
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to take on additional tasks and be a team player
• Must be able to lift 40lbs, take out the trash, clean where needed, and perform any other tasks that need to be completed
• Must have reliable transportation
